Ft Myers Sunfish Series: March 20, 2005
Winds were generally light and from the east, with gusts to about 15 knots accompanied by 15 to 20 degree righties - after two attempts to reset the course on the shifts, we finally figured out to just start the races in the lulls. A fun afternoon finished off with hamburgers & hotdogs on shore.
Junior Sailors Lauren Taylor & Ali Yarbrough (Opti Green Fleet) did a great
job with the committee boat work, so special thanks to them. With a post
race motor failure on the committee boat, it was a good thing Lauren's father
John was out in his flats boat to rescue us!
The next Fort Myers Race will be on April 10 - I do not know yet where we will
be racing from, so watch your e-mail later in the month for the location - we
may move by then to the "temporary" home.
