PENNSYLVANIA SUNFISH CHAMPIONSHIP

The Pennsylvania Sunfish Championship was again held by the Marsh Creek Sailing Club at Marsh Creek State Park. The wind was a shifty variable northwester that ranged from 10 to 20 knots. Chris Williams, a transplant from the competitive New York / New England regions, was consistently on the correct side of the course and took the top place among 16 boats with three firsts and three seconds for 4 1/4 points with a throwout. Dave Davies was right behind finishing with 9 1/2 points. Bill McLaughlin was third with 20 points. Robert Loughran was fourth and first junior with 26 points and Sue Huffington was the first woman with 28 points.
