This years Newport Regatta saw over 400 boats race on 4 circles plus Ocean Classes. The Sunfish were on a circle with 4 other classes.

The winds varied from 10 knots to over 20. The series was dominated by John Fonseca of Fall River, MA with 5 first place finishes. John Skrzypiec had 4 firsts, but was hampered by 4 DNCs. A total of six of the nine skippers had at least one first place finish.
