West Florida Sunfish Circuit
Clearwater 
January 20, 2001

This past Sunday, January 20^th, sixteen sunfish sailors convened at the Clearwater Community Sailing Center to enjoy a beautiful warm and moderately windy (6-10mph) day of WFSC racing.  The race committee ran 3 races (windward-leeward, twice around) starting A fleet first and then B fleet.  

Joe Blouin dominated the A fleet, with 3 bullets, however, he was challenged with moments of glory by Mark Rother, Rita Steele, and Mindy Strauley.

In B fleet, it was Steve Roberts with 3 victories.  Tom Szelistowski, Loretta Garber, and Carol McDowell battled it out for the 2^nd place spot, all tied with 6 points going into the final race.  Mark Peters, new to the circuit, stuck with it to round out the B fleet group.
